Go Away!
Sometimes some people just won’t leave you alone. How do you express your desire to get them to go away? We’ll go over the answers in order of rudest to most polite. The rudest way to tell someone to go away is Vaffanculo! [vah-fahn-COOL-oh], which is equivalent to saying Fuck off! or Get the fuck out of here! (lit. Go and do it in the ass). It can also be shortened to ‘ffanculo. Fottiti [FOH-tee-tee] is also common, but it is more like saying Go fuck yourself. Vai a cagare [vahy ah cah-GAH-reh] can also be used, though it literally means Go take a shit.
Vattene [VAH-teh-neh] is a strong way of saying Go away without being vulgar. And the most polite way to tell someone to leave you alone is Lasciami in pace [LAH- shah-mee een PAH-cheh], which literally means Leave me in peace.
